Eco with a batteryEnergy Efficiency

In physics efficiency is defined as the ratio of useful work performed to the total energy expended or heat taken in.

Energy efficiency can be understood as maximising the amount of work we get from every unit of energy used. Or put another way, it is about thinking how to save as much energy as possible.

This is becoming increasingly important as energy costs increase we understand the damage that is being done to the environment.

Why do we need to be energy efficient?

By all of us lowering the amount of energy we use in our homes we can make a massive contribution to reducing the amount of greenhouse gases released into the atmosphere as well as creating a more comfortable home and lowering household energy bills.
